Job Summary:
We are seeking an outstanding Research and Development Scientist, who will be responsible for development, optimization and implementation of mRNA synthesis process for mRNA-based drug product manufacturing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Development, optimization and implementation of mRNA synthesis process for mRNA manufacturing.
IVT template design, molecular cloning, plasmid multiplication in E.coli cultures
Plasmid and mRNA quality control method and assay development, including PCR, qPCR, ELISA, spectrofluorometry
Collaborating with other research and development teams (formulation team, analytics team, bioassay team) in a multidisciplinary environment
Preparation of technical documents, such as method SOP, development reports, experimental plans and reports, scale-up documentation etc.
Organization of data, maintaining detailed records, and effective communication of results
Supervision of laboratory devices and equipment
Qualifications:
MSc in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or related sciences with 3 years of professional experience; or PhD in above mentioned scientific fields. Industry experience is highly preferred
Upstream and downstream mRNA process development knowledge
Extensive knowledge and experience in molecular biology, specifically involving mRNA and molecular cloning, is required
Experience with gene therapy products and/or mRNA vaccines is a plus
Good understanding of mRNA biology and mRNA synthesis
Experience in Pharmaceutical, CDMO, or cGMP environment preferred.
Good understanding of mRNA therapeutic area
Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written
Excellent oral and written communication skill
Strong scientific skills including sound experimental design, data processing and interpretation
Self-motivator with an ability to lead the project
