Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize LNP and liposome formulations for nucleic acids, small molecules, and other bioactive compounds
- Apply a strong understanding of lipid biophysics and physical chemistry in the formulation design process
- Conduct physicochemical characterization (e.g., particle size, PDI, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, release profile, stability)
- Lead the development and scale-up of manufacturing processes, including the use of microfluidic systems
- Participate in the production of pilot batches
- Ensure scientific rigor and compliance with project timelines and documentation standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytical development, bioassay, clinical manufacturing, and quality
- Contribute to scientific publications, patent filings, and regulatory documentation
Requirements:
- PhD in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering or MSc with minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of lipid-based drug delivery systems, lipid biophysics, and physical chemistry
- Proven experience in formulation and characterization of LNPs and/or liposomes
- Hands-on experience with microfluidic lipid nanoparticle manufacturing systems
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as DLS, UV-Vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Valid Category B driver’s license
